Zicklin School of Business Reaccredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
Dear Baruch Faculty and Staff,
I am pleased to share with you that, after a rigorous evaluation, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has ratified and extended the Zicklin School of Business’s accreditation for both business and accounting programs for the next five years. The Zicklin School has maintained AACSB accreditation since 1933; the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy has maintained its separate AACSB accreditation since 1984.
Attained by less than 5 percent of the world’s business schools, AACSB accreditation is the mark of excellence in business education and a valuable asset to our institution. Additionally, of the 874 business institutions around the world that have earned AACSB accreditation, the Zicklin School is one of only 190 that have earned this dual accreditation.
I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone who contributed to this tremendous undertaking. Zicklin’s AACSB accreditation committees devoted countless hours to this review process, and their hard work has paid off. Baruch owes a debt of gratitude to Paquita Davis-Friday, senior associate dean; Carol Marquardt, professor and chair of the Stan Ross Department; and H. Fenwick Huss, Willem Kooyker Dean, for their outstanding work and leadership.
The Zicklin School’s AACSB reaccreditation, coupled with the College’s recent reaccreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), affirms the outstanding work of Baruch’s faculty, staff, and administrators as well as the success of our diverse and resilient student body.
Sincerely,
S. David Wu
President, Baruch College
