    Welcome to Fall 2025

    Dear Baruch Students,

Welcome to the Fall 2025 semester and the beginning of a brand-new academic year! Whether you are just joining us or returning to continue your journey, I am thrilled to have you here. Baruch is a place of extraordinary energy—a vibrant mix of cultures, ideas, and ambitions—and you are now an essential part of it.

This year holds incredible promise. I encourage you to dive in fully: connect with new classmates, embrace experiences that challenge your perspective, and share your unique voice with this remarkable community.

    Our Commitment to Your Success

At Baruch, your success is at the heart of everything we do. We are deeply committed to expanding the resources, opportunities, and support you need to thrive—and this year is no exception. We invite you to help shape our future through the Campus Master Plan, a college-wide effort to reimagine our physical spaces to better serve your academic and personal goals. Your input is essential, but we’re not waiting to act—work is already underway to relocate and enhance the Baruch One Stop Shop (the BOSS), upgrade the William and Anita Newman Library, and create new student lounges, expanded seating, and refreshed spaces across campus.

We’re also looking ahead to the future of learning. With the launch of our AI Hub, Baruch is taking a leadership role in helping our community explore and harness the power of artificial intelligence together—responsibly and creatively.

Beyond the classroom, we’re working to increase experiential learning opportunities throughout New York City, expand access to research collaborations with faculty, and bring back signature events like the Research Expo and Graduate Student Fair. We continue to strengthen programs that support transfer students, ensuring that every Bearcat feels welcomed and connected. Through Baruch’s growing networks of mentors, alumni, and peers, you’ll find guidance and inspiration to help you navigate your journey.

    Your Place in Our Community

Your time at Baruch goes beyond academics. You are part of a vibrant community that values diversity, respect, and engagement. This year, we’ll continue Baruch Connects, a campus-wide series of events designed to spark thoughtful conversations and bring us together as a community. We will delve into social, economic, and political issues, and I encourage you to join in and share your lived experiences and perspectives.

There is no better time than now to explore and get involved in all that Baruch—and New York City—has to offer. Whether you join one of our more than 130 clubs and organizations, explore the city with newfound friends, or embrace the challenges that come from new learning experiences, your opportunities are endless.

Together, let’s make this year an incredible one, filled with discoveries and accomplishments that empower you to reach your goals. Here’s to an amazing 2025–26!

    Sincerely,

    S. David Wu
    President, Baruch College
