Welcome to Fall 2024! – Message to Students

    Dear Baruch Students,

Welcome to the Fall 2024 semester and the start of the 2024–25 academic year! Whether you’re new to Baruch or returning for another exciting year, I’m thrilled to have you as part of our vibrant community. This is a time full of possibilities—new connections, fresh experiences, and unparalleled opportunities to grow both personally and academically.

    Your Success Is Our Mission

At Baruch, we’re committed to your success. Last year, we launched our strategic plan, Baruch 2028: Unstoppable, to guide us over the next five years. We’ve already made significant progress, and this year we’re set to build on that momentum to ensure that you have the resources, support, and opportunities to thrive.

Maximizing student success continues to be our top priority. You’ll find more experiential learning opportunities across New York City and alongside faculty conducting research. Enhanced learning technologies will help you succeed. We’re also introducing new programs to support our growing number of transfer students to ease their transition and help everyone feel welcomed and supported. Plus, you’ll have even more ways to connect with mentors—whether they’re peers, alumni, or professionals—who can guide you on your journey.

    Your Role in Our Community

Your time at Baruch is more than just about academics—it’s about being part of a community that values diversity, inclusion, and engagement. This year, we’re offering a variety of events designed to spark thoughtful conversations and bring us together as a community. These events will explore important social, economic, and political issues, and I encourage you to get involved and share your unique perspectives.

This is a great time to dive into all that Baruch and New York City have to offer. Whether you’re joining one of our more than 130 clubs and organizations, exploring the city, or engaging in new learning experiences, the opportunities are endless.

Let’s make this year an incredible one, full of growth, discovery, and success. Here’s to an amazing 2024–25!

    Sincerely,

    S. David Wu
    President, Baruch College
