Strategic Plan Midpoint Summit: Call for Nominations

Dear Baruch College Community,

As we approach the midpoint of Baruch College’s 2023–28 Strategic Plan, we have an important opportunity to pause, take stock of our collective progress, and consider how to shape the next phase of our work together. This midpoint review allows us to celebrate achievements, confront challenges honestly, and identify areas where a pivot or adjustment might be necessary—and most importantly, to renew our shared commitment to Baruch’s mission, values, and long-term goals.

I invite you to nominate a colleague or self-nominate to participate in the Strategic Plan Midpoint Summit, to be held on Friday, Feb. 6. The Summit will convene a diverse and representative group of faculty, staff, students, and campus leaders to:

• Reflect on our progress by highlighting accomplishments and stories that bring our strategic priorities to life
• Identify challenges and areas where alignment and impact can be strengthened
• Recalibrate priorities to guide the next phase of the Strategic Plan
• Promote transparency and inclusion through open dialogue and shared planning
• Strengthen community by further cultivating trust, collaboration, and collective ownership of Baruch’s future direction

Some members of the community have received invitations based on their roles, responsibilities, or involvement in key strategic initiatives. This open call is intended to ensure that we include additional voices and perspectives that reflect the full breadth and richness of our community.

If you are interested in contributing to this important conversation—or would like to recommend a colleague whose insight would be valuable—please submit a nomination by Friday, Jan. 30.

In preparation for the Summit, I also encourage you to review the Year 1 and Year 2 Strategic Plan Progress Reports. We welcome your input to help us design an experience that is meaningful, inclusive, and aligned with Baruch’s values. Please share your thoughts.
