National Search for Baruch’s Next Provost
Baruch College has initiated a national search for the next Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, with the expectation of the role being filled by July 1, 2021.
The Provost’s position is integral to the mission of the College, assuming responsibility for all academic, research, and creative work of the College while providing campus leadership to carry out our strategic vision as a national model epitomizing academic excellence and social mobility. The next Provost and Senior Vice President, a critical member of the College leadership team, will be strategic, agile, and innovative as we lead a fundamental paradigm shift in higher education. His or her commitment to the highest caliber education for the success of our most talented and diverse student body is essential. The involvement of the Baruch community will be paramount in identifying distinguished candidates from diverse disciplines and backgrounds.
President S. David Wu received broad input and invited members from across the College community to serve on this diverse and critically important search committee.
The national search will be guided by executive search firm WittKieffer, which will assist in rendering a strong and diverse pool of candidates. WittKieffer has a successful legacy of higher education executive searches that stretch across the United States, including substantial experience with CUNY institutions. The lead consultant is Robin Mamlet, senior partner and managing director of WittKieffer’s Education Practice.
