Presidential Advisory Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Purpose
Welcome to the Presidential Advisory Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Council acts as the consultative body and a sounding board for President S. David Wu and his leadership team. To that end, it seeks to engage the campus community in various ways to conceive a long-term vision for building and strengthening a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equity at Baruch. Council members are drawn from across the College so that they may serve as ambassadors to the community.

Community Gatherings
Attend a Community Gathering with members of the Presidential Advisory Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. These gatherings provide members of the Baruch community the opportunity to learn about the Council’s ongoing DEI efforts and share their insights on DEI-related issues with them in small group discussions.
Community Listening Sessions
During spring 2021, the Council engaged in small group discussions with more than 40 different identity groups across the Baruch community. Each listening session lasted 75 minutes, during which trained facilitators guided participants through a series of questions to learn how members of each group experience diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus. All of the insights shared during the listening sessions are recorded, anonymized, and used to inform the recommendations the Council will put forward to the President later this year.
